(HBO) - The Ao xanh (Blue shirt) charity club in Hoa Binh city, established five years ago, has actively participated in charitable and humanitarian activities, with the total value of granted gifts and cash reaching billions of Vietnamese dong. The club has regularly organised charitable activities inside and outside Hoa Binh province, such as presenting gifts to poor households and people with disabilities, offering free meals for underprivileged patients and their relatives at the provincial General Hospital and the Traditional Medicine Hospital.

On the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1), the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Phuong Lam ward visited and presented gifts to children with disabilities in Hoa Binh city.

The provincial Drivers’ Association gathers drivers whose vehicles have the Hoa Binh registration number of 28. Along with supporting association members, the association has donated to support people affected by flood and other natural disasters, and presented medical supplies to help locals in disadvantageous areas fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The yellow shirt of the provincial Drivers’ Association has been seen in charitable activities held in far-flung hamlets from Mai Chau, Da Bac, Tan Lac, Lac Son and Yen Thuy districts to Hoa Binh city.

The spirit of solidarity has duplicated in difficulties. When floods and landslides seriously affected locals’ lives and production, many organisations and individuals stood side by side with affected people by providing them with food, foodstuff and daily supplies and helping them build and repair houses and schools and restore production.

Recently, more than 10 billion VND has been sent to the provincial Fatherland Front to support the province’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, fundraising campaigns for disaster-affected people and national sea and islands have still attracted a large number of organisations and individuals. All these activities have helped spread love and solidarity among local people./.
