(HBO) - The provincial People’s Committee on January 29 issued Document No.149/UBND-KGVX on implementation of the Prime Minister’s Directive No.05/CT-TTg and the Ministry of Health’sNo.95/CD-BYT dated January 28 on COVID-19 prevention.

The Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee orders:

 

- Directors of departments, heads of organisations, and chairpersons of the people’s committees of districts and Hoa Binh city to strictly carry out the Prime Minister’s Directive No.05/CT-TTg on urgent measures to prevent COVID-19, the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control’s No.95/CD-BYT on inspection and settlement of the COVID-19 hotspots, as well as documents already issued by the central committees and the province on COVID-19 prevention. They must review and tighten the implementation of the measures particularly at healthcare stations, schools, industrial parks, plants, and mass gathering locations. Besides, unnecessary meetings, conferences, and parties must be cancelled. They must be responsible for the COVID-19 prevention work within their authority.

- The People’s Committees of districts and cities must take full responsibility, and have more drastic and flexible COVID-19 prevention measures. Response measures must be well prepared so as to be kicked off in a timely fashion, helping prevent the coronavirus spread to residential areas, production and business facilities. They must direct the People’s Committees in communes, wards and town to mobilise heads of the residential areas and villages, set up working groups in localities to check the number of people with high risk of COVID-19, update situation in the locality, and raise public awareness of the COVID-19 prevention work. In the meantime, quarantine work must be carried out in line with current regulations. 

With suspected infections, local authorities must contain and zone off the infection areas in a timely fashion. Local residents are requested to wear face masks, reduce mass gatherings, and keep distance at public places. Supervision of COVID-19 prevention measures must be enhanced at public areas such as supermarkets, bus stations and public transport, and strict punishment should be meted out for any violations. Additionally, communication work should be given due attention to encouraging local residents to use NCOVI and Bluezone to make healthcare declaration. Localities must arrange sufficient financial resource, vehicles, medicines and medical equipment for the COVID-19 prevent work./.
