(HBO) - Through the revolutionary period, under the leadership of the Party, directly under that of the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee and the People of ethnic groups in Lac Son district has constantly risen to win important achievements in the cause of the national liberation and the work of building and defending the Fatherland, which is worth with the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. In addition to the pride, the party committee and the local authorities have been well implementing the regimes and policies, paying special attention to the material and spiritual life of the people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The war invalids, Mr. Bui Van Xien in Cang hamlet, Vu Binh commune (Lac Son) is happy with his children and grandchildren in the house of "Team Love” built in 2020.

Welcoming us in a spacious house that was completed in 2020, with the support of the house building program "Team Love” of Military Hospital 103 and the District’s Military Headquarters, Mr. Bui Van Xien in Cang hamlet, Vu commune Binh shared: Previously, my family's situation was very difficult, the house was dilapidated and there was no way out. Thanks to the support of kind-hearted units, the individuals and the teammates, I am assured of the accommodation for a long and stable life. Mr. Xien was born in 1957, enlisted in October 1974, joined the 3rd Battalion, 1st Regiment, 9th Division, 4th Corps. During his 4 years and 10 months working time at the unit, he participated in the battlefield of the Southeast and Ho Chi Minh campaign, and he was injured while he was on duty. Since 1979, he was in military service and completed the procedures to enjoy the policy for the war invalids according to the regulations of the Party and State.

Up till now, the district has 314 wounded soldiers, 130 sick soldiers, 258 relatives of martyrs, 576 cases of poisoning with toxic chemicals, 49 cases enjoying the survivors of the wounded soldiers, 8 cases of arrested and imprisoned, 3 pre-insurrection officers, 6 people serving war invalids and toxic chemicals... Those with meritorious services are entitled to a full monthly allowance, without deficiencies or complaints about the policies. By 2020, the number of war invalids, sick soldiers, people poisoning with toxic chemicals enjoying the policy will increase by 31 people. From April 2021, 22 additional cases are entitled to the policy as prescribed. For war invalids and sick soldiers increased, the documents are supported by the district’s military headquarters to support the subjects with the procedures and certification papers. As soon as the decision is granted, the annual supplementary cases will be paid and ensured the correct, sufficient and timely regimes and policies according to the State's regulations.

According to Mr. Bui Van Duong, the Vice Chairman of the District’s People's Committee, with practical care and concern, the life of 100% of people with meritorious services in the district is equal to or higher than that of the people in the same area of residence. Based on the review results, there are still 12 beneficiaries under the preferential policy having difficulty in housing, the district has implemented a plan to basically erase temporary and dilapidated houses for the households under the preferential policy in 2021. Specifically, 160 million VND is deducted from the fund of "Gratitude” of the district, 200 million VND is received from the provincial support to implement the program. Accordingly, they will support 40 million VND for a new house, 20 million VND for a repaired house. In addition, 60 million VND will be deducted from the fund of "Gratitude” to make a memorial house to record the name of the heroic martyrs in Quyet Thang commune. Up to now, they have supported the construction of 45/54 tombs of Vietnamese heroic mothers with the cost of 10 million VND a grave.
