(HBO - The Ministry of Industry and Trade on May 13 held an online conference with 63 cities and provinces nationwide on COVID-19 prevention and control at industrial and commercial production establishments, and ensuring sufficient supply of essential products.

Against the backdrop of
the growing complexity of COVID-19 outbreaks, the ministry ordered local
administrations, enterprises and industrial parks to actively respond to new
developments of the situation, and to well manage supply sources. More
attention must also be paid to increasing supply of essential goods to
pandemic-hit cities and provinces and areas under quarantine or social
distancing.
In Hoa Binh, the
Department of Industry and Trade has developed plans for the preparation of
supply sources for enterprises and business establishments to ramp up
production of commodities for local consumption. The province aims to provide
adequate supply of quality goods that meet food safety standards for the locals
and prevent shortages.
The local market has been
stablised with no panic-buying reported./.
