(HBO) – As the COVID-19 situation in the southern region has been basically brought under control and some activities there have been eased gradually, a large number of people have also expressed their intention to return to their home villages in Hoa Binh province.

departed for Ho Chi Minh City and other southern localities on October 11 to
transport people of Hoa Binh back home. They arrived in the province on October
15. The returnees were sent to quarantine facilities upon their arrival, where
they were received in a safe, quick, and thoughtful manner, with anti-COVID-19
rules seriously implemented.

Earlier, localities in Hoa Binh had prepared all
necessary conditions, from infrastructure for personnel, to receive the
citizens. Lac Son and Yen Thuy districts handled the largest number of
returnees this time.
On October 15 evening, Lac Son received 99
people coming back from the southern region. All of them underwent PCR and
rapid tests and showed a negative result for the coronavirus. Upon their
arrival in the district, they were sent to the concentrated quarantine site
based at the former headquarters of the Binh Cang communal People’s Committee.
The same day, Yen Thuy district received 78
people, including 23 children, returning from Binh Duong province. They are
currently undergoing mandatory quarantine at the primary school of Lac Luong
commune.
Meanwhile, another 10 people were brought to the
concentrated quarantine site in the Ban Rung area, which is the former health
station of Man Duc commune, in Tan Lac district.
Bui Tuan An, deputy head of the Tan Lac division
for labour, invalids and social affairs, said there are four concentrated
quarantine facilities in the district, including the former health station of
Man Duc commune, the former headquarters of the People’s Committees of Phong
Phu and Do Nhan communes, and the former Tan Lac High School.
All conditions necessary for the concentrated
quarantine have been ensured in line with regulations, he added.
To help ease difficulties and encourage the
returnees to protect their health and comply with regulations during the
quarantine period, the administrations of localities have presented gifts which
are essential goods to them. Localities in Hoa Binh basically completed the
reception of nearly 400 citizens returning from the southern region on October
15, with safety ensured and anti-COVID-19 measures carried out seriously./.
