(HBO) - Bui Quoc Hoan, Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's chapter in Hoa Binh province and Chairman of the provincial Youth Federation, said that in the nine months of 2021, the youth unions at all levels in the province promoted the "I love my Fatherland” movement, organised many practical and meaningful activities for the community in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and helped young people set up businesses and build effective youth economic models.

 The province has established 155 volunteer groups with thousands of youth union members supporting concentrated quarantine facilities and checkpoints, and coordinating in carrying out many activities in support of the fight against the pandemic. 

Especially, towards the 65th Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Federation (October 15, 1956 - 2021), the provincial Youth Union launched an emulation campaign with key tasks of stepping up dissemination of the history and glorious revolutionary tradition of Vietnamese youth and the Vietnam Youth Federation; organizing a meeting of generations of the federation's officials; organising festivals of clubs; organising medical check-ups and treatment and distributing free medicines to locals, holding blood donation drives and cultural, artistic, and sport activities.

 Nguyen Huu Lam, Secretary of Lac Thuy district’s Youth Union, said that the unit responded to the special emulation movement by holding the "I love my Fatherland" festival with practical and effective activities that ensured pandemic prevention and control. 

In the localities, in October, the "I love my fatherland" festival has been held with many activities such as supporting ethnic minority and disadvantaged young peoplein Kim Boi district, organizing the "I love my Fatherland" race in Hoa Binh city and the final round of the "Innovative start-up ideas among Hoa Binh youths in 2021"contest, launching the "Youth Incubator" model in Luong Son district, holding the award ceremony of the "Moments for Community" photo contest in 2021 in Hoa Binh city, guiding locals on health protection and care, coordinating in organising medical check-ups and treatment and giving free medicines to locals, encouraging young people to donate blood, and supporting people in the fight against COVID-19./.
