(HBO) – This year, the Party organisation of Phu Lai commune in Yen Thuy district has been working to strengthen its Party building work; maintain a sustainable economic growth rate; effectively exploit resources for development investment; promote socio-cultural development, hunger eradication, poverty alleviation, and social security assurance; maintain the achievement in new-style rural building in association with natural resources and environment protection; strengthen local defense; and ensure political security, social order and safety; towards meeting criteria for advanced new-style rural areas.

To achieve such aims, the Party organisation has
focused on easing difficulties for farmers and guiding farming work. The
commune's People's Committee has coordinated with village officials to
hold communications campaigns on animal vaccination and farming hygiene for
disease prevention and control. Local hamlets have signed commitments to
protecting the forest, with the commune recording no forest fire and illegal
transport and trade of forestry goods.
With the participation of 45 local household,
activities in the field of industry – construction, including farm produce
processing, construction material production, carpentry, mechanical processing
and garment have so far developed strongly.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the
trade and service sector, which gathers 56 local households, has faced many
difficulties. However, the sector has gradually resumed stable operation,
creating jobs for local labourers and meeting consumption needs in the
locality.

organisation has paid attention to directing and promptly implementing related
resolutions, directives and plans.
Political tasks, and socio-economic development,
defense and security works have been implemented synchronously and effectively,
he added.
According to the official, the local poverty
rate has been brought down to 4.15 percent; 97.5 percent of residents
participate in health insurance; the natural population growth rate is 1
percent. Meanwhile, 100 percent of local households have access to hygienic
water and have been connected to the national grid; 80 percent of farming
households have standard animal barns to ensure environmental sanitation; and
the rate of trained workers has reached 41 percent./.
