(HBO) – Recently, relevant units of the Hoa Binh provincial Department of Public Security have worked with the police of Lac Son district and My Thanh commune to boost the dissemination and implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 06/QD-TTg, which approved the project on applying electronic population database, identification, and authentication to serve national digital transformation in the 2022 - 2025 period, with a vision to 2030 (Project 06/CP), in tandem with the "All people protect the Fatherland’s security” movement in My Thanh.

Police officers of My Thanh commune (Lac Son district) instruct local residents how to use the electronic population database, identification, and authentication app on smartphones.

My Thanh is a particularly disadvantaged commune of Lac Son district. It is home to 986 households with 4,622 residents, 98 percent of which are Muong ethnic people and 54 percent are Catholic followers.

Despite advantages, local police have proactively proposed the local Party committee and administration order sectors and organisations to join hands with police in the crime fight and the implementation of Project 06/CP in each village and residential area.

They have also advised authorities about ways to step up the project popularisation and implementation.

Senior Lieutenant Bui Chi Quang, head of the communal public security division, said the enhanced dissemination and implementation of Project 06/CP in tandem with the "All people protect the Fatherland’s security” movement have helped people realise the short- and long-term benefits of electronic population database, identification, and authentication. The moves have also raised cadres and people’s awareness and sense of responsibility in complying with legal regulations on fire prevention and control, traffic safety, and the "All people protect the Fatherland’s security” movement.

Quach Van Hieu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the communal People’s Committee, said in the time ahead, authorities will continue assigning the police to coordinate with sectors and organisations to step up popularising Project 06/CP, maintain a good grasp of the local situation, and assist locals to effectively make use of electronic applications during the project implementation and in the settlement of related administrative procedures.
