(HBO) - In the afternoon of October 28, the People's Committees of Hoa Binh City and Cao Phong District coordinated with Childfund Vietnam to hold a handover ceremony for the microfinance project sponsored by ChildFund Vietnam. There were representatives from a number of departments, branches, Hoa Binh city, Cao Phong district, ChildFund Vietnam project...attending the ceremony.

agreement to hand over the Microfinance Project to the People's Committees of
Hoa Binh city and Cao Phong.
According
to the report at the handover ceremony, the project was implemented from 2017
to the end of September 30, 2022 in 2 districts, Ky Son (the former) and Cao
Phong. The support disbursed to Ky Son district (the forrmer) was over 4.9
billion VND and over 7.5 billion VND to Cao Phong district. The project has
effectively implemented the set goals such as helping nearly 2,000 women's
members get loans for production and business development, building and
replicating the models of economic development, raising the scale of production
and industry development. The project activities have created a habit for the
people to practice savings, which helps creating the local capital to lend for
the economic development, with the flexible loans according to members' needs
from 5 to 50 million VND. During the operation of the fund, the two districts
have always received the attention and supervision from ChildFund and the State
Bank's branch in Hoa Binh province through the periodic inspection of the
fund's activities.
At the
conference, the representatives of the units discussed the contents related to
the project results, the advantages and disadvantages in the project
implementation over the past time and the action plan after the recommendations
at the conference. ChildFund Vietnam has signed an agreement to hand over the
Microfinance Project to the People's Committees of Hoa Binh city and Cao Phong
District.
