(HBO) – A mobile job fair recently held in Da Bac town (Da Bac district) attracted over 230 local young people. It offered a good chance for local young people to seek vocational training and job opportunities.

Young people and youth union members from communes and towns in Da Bac district are seeking employment information at the job fair.

Xa Thi Thuy was one of the young labourers who came to seek job opportunities. She registered for an interview for free training and internship in a textile company in Hoa Binh city. Thuy said her family's difficult economic situation is one of the reasons she could not continue her study. She hopes to find a job with a short training period that can provide early stable income. The job fair provided her with an opportunity to meet employers, thus choosing a suitable job.

As one of the businesses participating in recent mobile job fairs, GGS Vietnam Co., Ltd said it needs to hire 80 labourers aged between 18 and 50 years old, with good health to work in industrial sewing, sewing support units, and checking and packaging units.

The enterprise said that in addition to the basic salary, workers will be entitled to allowances, productivity bonuses, free lunch, and free beverages. Total income ranges from 6 to 16 million VND (252 USD – 672 USD) per month for sewing workers, and from 5.5 to 10 million VND for other positions. The company fully complies with social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance regulations, with a commitment to prompt salary payment and no insurance premium debt.

Coordinating the implementation of a programme to send local labourers abroad to work under contracts, the Viet-Nhat Education and Trade Development JSC recruited workers to work at factories specialising in the production of components, machinery and equipment in Taichung city, Taiwan (China).

In addition to requirements in health and foreign language skill, the recruiter also provided detailed information about the number of workers to be recruited, specific jobs, overtime hours, working environment, and accommodation fee support, and salary.

Another employer with its office in Hoa Binh city - JAENEUNG Trading and Services Co., Ltd., also offered attractive job information. The company needs to recruit 200 labourers to work in Japan for three years (with a possible extension) in the sectors of mechanics, industrial sewing, electronics, construction, agriculture, food processing, nursing, and manufacturing.

If recruited, workers will receive a basic salary ranging from 26 to 33 million VND (1,091 – 1,385 USD) per month, excluding bonuses and overtime pay. They will also enjoy health insurance and retirement benefits as regulated by Japanese law. The company assists with procedures for workers to apply for loans from state-owned banks if they need.

Vu Manh Hung, Director of the provincial Job Service Centre said in recent times, almost 20 companies in and outside the province have collaborated with the centre in providing advice and employment support for local labourers, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of job fairs.

Statistics show that in 2022 and the first half of 2023, over 1,000 local labourers were sent abroad for working under contracts.
