(HBO)- In 2012, Lac Son district had 1,385 learning fondness families, 15 learning fondness clans and 67 learning fondness communities. But until 2017, the number has increased to 5,650 learning fondness families, 82 learning fondness clans and 293 learning fondness communities.

Comrade Pham Thi Hao, Chairman of the district Study Encouragement Association said: The association always takes care of propagating, mobilizing households, clans, offices, organizations, departments, boards, enterprises and the local authorities to register for building learning families, learning clans, learning communities and learning organizations. At the same time, it also takes care of organizing the assessment, investigation, selection, confirmation following the right criteria and instructions. Every year, a conference is held to commend and reward, honor all the typical and outstanding families, clans, communities and organizations which have achieved successfully and play important roles in strengthening and developing the movement quality and expanding for other areas to follow and study.
Trying to take these movements of study encouragement competitions into the social life has become the ethnic people’s awareness and activities in the district. They focus on esteeming building Study Encouragement Associations at all levels as a foundation for competing movements of building " family of learning fondness”, "clan of learning fondness”, " community of learning fondness”. One of the most effective solutions which has been exploited in the district is to pay attention in commending and awarding activities.
The commending and awarding activities of the Study Encouragement Association have been renovated in both format and content. Besides the regular competing organizations, the district Study Encouragement Association has mobilized many topic – based short- term competitions. Every year, villages, hamlets, Study Encouragement Associations of communes, towns organizes to commend and award for study and talent encouragement. From 2012 to 2017, all level associations has commended and awarded 768 excellent families of learning fondness, 99 typical clans of learning fondness, 289 village and hamlet communities, 79 excellent staffs and members, 5137 officials, excellent teachers and pupils of all levels and students passing the vocational college.
The building of "family of learning fondness”, "clan of learning fondness”, and "community of learning fondness” has been paid attention and led by the Party and local authorities, collaborating regularly with departments, boards and organizations and being approved by local people. After 5 years, the result is that there has been a rise in the number of families, clans and communities which have been approved as units of learning fondness and study encouragement.
In the district area, there have been more and more typical and excellent models in all the hamlets, villages, residence areas, communes and towns such as some typical excellent families of learning fondness: Bui Van Tuon household (Chi Thien commune), Bui Van Van and Bui Thi Huong household ( Van Son commune), Quach Van Tu (Binh Hem commune), Bui Van Quy (Tan Lap commune); some outstanding clans like Bach clan ( Doi Thung village, Quy Hoa commune), Bui clan (Xuat Hoa commune), Quach clan (An Nghia commune), Dang clan (Vu Ban town), etc. There are also some typical study encouragement communities, such as: Quoc 1 village (Binh Hem commune), Ho 2 village (Yen Nghiep commune), Lam Hoa 1 Street (Vu Lam commune), etc. The movements of study encouragement and talent encouragement has motivated, encouraged all level students of all majors to study hard and promote the competition of "Good teaching, Good learning” which can be expanded widespread at all schools; moreover, it can be propagated, mobilized and encouraged for all laborers, officials, staffs to participate in learning regularly and in their whole life – time.
