According to survey data on the multi-dimensional poverty line of Lac Son district by 2022, the poor households account for 19.32%, the near-poor households account for 17.49%. Of these, more than 900 households in difficult circumstances need attention, housing support and capital help to develop production, stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.

After the launching ceremony to support the Fund for the Poor in 2023 (last October), the program continued to receive the attention and leadership of the District’s Party Committee, the coordination of the District’s People's Committee, and the positive response of the local agencies, departments, branches, unions, businesses and the people from all walks of life inside and outside the district. Ms. Bui Thi Van, the Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of District’s Party, the Chairwoman of the District’s Fatherland Front says: Deploying the peak month of campaigning to support the Fund for the Poor in 2023, the sectors, the agencies, the organizations and units, the businesses, entrepreneurs, officers, soldiers of the armed forces and the people of all walks of life have promoted the spirit of solidarity and strength of the entire political system, the entire society and the community to actively respond to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor – Leave no one behind” with the practical actions, the contributions of intelligence, the effort, and both material and spiritual support to help the poor households and the near-poor households escape poverty.

In addition, the emulation movement have promoted the initiatives and proposes on the innovative solutions, agreeing on cooperation and responsibility for the poor, upholding the exemplary and dedicated spirit of the official and the party members, the civil servants and public employees, the Fatherland Front’s officials, and the people's organizations to accompany the poor, aiming to leave no one behind; Mobilizing the groups, individuals, and businesses to join hands to help the poor has been promoted.

Along with the program to support the fund, each officer, civil servant, public employee, and employee in all economic sectors in the area participates in donating at least a salary or the income of at least one day. The businessmen, the artisans, the members, the union members, the people from all walks of life, and the children of the district working inside and outside the district have generously supported the Fund for the Poor. Many agencies, organizations, units, businesses, and armed forces have saved the cost or deducted the welfare funds to support the Fund for the Poor, demonstrating the good feelings and ethics of Vietnamese people and their responsibility of the entire society, contributing to the good implementation of the Party’s and State's guidelines and policies on the poverty reduction, ensuring social security and sustainable development of the locality.

In 2022 and in the first 9 months of 2023, the Campaign Committee of the District’s Fund for the Poor has received a positive response from the agencies, departments, branches, unions, businesses and the people of all walks of life with a support of nearly 800 million VND. The result was that nearly 4 billion VND have been mobilized from the mobilized funds, the funds transferred from the province and other support sources. The Fatherland Front and the Campaign Committee of the District’s Fund have used money to support the construction and repair of 109 houses of Great Solidarity for the poor and the families of the people with meritorious services to the revolution; visiting and giving 1,269 sets of Tet gifts to the poor and the near-poor households with a total value of over 900 million VND, contributing to the good implementation of the programs for the social security in the area. 

During the peak month for the poor in 2023, the district handed over the houses of great solidarity, on average each commune and town built 2-3 houses. Visiting and giving gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year in 2024 have been planned for the implementation. Along with that, the district’s Fatherland Front have called on all the people, the officers, the soldiers of the armed forces, the organizations, agencies, units, and businesses in the district to promote the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, and solidarity to cctively respond and support the District’s Fund for the Poor.
