In 2023, there were 137 communication meetings held in the area with nearly 35,900 participants. The District’s Youth Communist Union organized 20 propaganda campaigns to prevent school violence, drowning and accidents and injuries for over 18,700 children, integrating the vivid visual propaganda into the summer activities with 67 campaigns for over 12,500 children; The district’s Health Center organized 50 propaganda sessions to disseminate knowledge about gender and reproductive health to the adolescents and young people with nearly 4,600 attendees; The district’s Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with World Vision to organize a mock trial in Quyet Thang commune, thereby it helped disseminate the legal regulations on the crimes of sexual abuse and child marriage with the participation of more than 600 students, parents and citizens; The district’s Women's Union organized 24 thematic talks and seminars for 2,150 participants; The Justice Department coordinated with the Legal Aid Branch No. 4 to organize 4 legal dissemination and education conferences integrating the topics. In the whole district there are 21 stadium built to meet the standards, 1 entertainment spot in the district center and a number of privately-invested entertainment spots at the tourism destinations, 241 out of the 252 villages and hamlets have cultural houses and the sites for the community activities, 100% of the schools have playgrounds and exercise areas for the students.
According to the Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the district, in addition to the basic advantages, the work of protecting and caring for children still has many difficulties due to the local socio-economic conditions, facilities and playing areas for the children that do not meet the requirements. Notably, the injuries to the children still occur. In 2023, in the area there were 7 cases of children drowning.
