In the days approaching the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the activities to care for and support the families in difficult circumstances, visiting the people with meritorious services to the revolution, encouraging and supporting the employees and the poor households have been widely deployed across the province with the diverse and practical forms.

The buddhists from Vinh Phuc Tu Huu Bang pagoda and Phap Hoa Sangha Ashram from the North are giving Tet gifts to the poor households in Hang Kia and Pa Co communes (Mai Chau).

The Provincial National Assembly delegation has just implemented a program to visit and give Tet gifts to the poor in many districts and the city with the resources mobilized from the domestic businesses and sponsors. Thousands of gifts have been given to the poor households promptly and to the right target, showing the kindness and the desire for the families to have a warm and joyful Tet.

Ms. Bui Thi Phuong, the representative of the poor households in Mu hamlet, Thung Nai commune (Cao Phong) emotionally says: For me, a gift worth 1 million VND, including the essential goods and cash, is not small in value. In addition to the material meaning of helping those who are in difficult situations, it is also a great source of spiritual encouragement, motivating us to escape poverty.

The lives of people in 3 communes: Chi Dao, Quyet Thang, Dinh Cu (Lac Son) still have many difficulties, and many situations need support and help. On this occasion, 185 poor households and 50 children from special circumstances received meaningful Tet gifts from businesses and philanthropists. Mr. Bui Van Khiem, a poor household in Ong Man village, Chi Dao commune, confided: Receiving the gift from the sponsor, I was very excited, somewhat relieved my worries about Tet. I thank the attention of the Party, State, socio-political organizations and benefactors who have joined hands to help. In addition to the gifts of cakes, jam, cooking oil, and MSG, my family will use the donated money to buy rice and meat to ensure a full Tet.

The journey of sharing love and caring for the poor during Tet is extended from the remote communes to the highland communes. Along with other associations and unions, the Provincial Association Supporting Disabled People and Orphans also organized Tet gift giving, joining hands with a number of individuals and organizations in Hanoi City to carry out the "mission” to bring a warm Spring to the poor, the subjects under the social preferential policies. In Mai Chau town and Son Thuy, Tong Dau, Pa Co, Hang Kia communes (Mai Chau), the delegation gave nearly 170 sets of gifts to the poor households, the people with disabilities and the orphans, each worth 1 million VND, including cash, Chung cake, rice, cakes, and jam.

On this occasion, the families under prefferential policies, the poor employees, and the patients having health insurance in difficult circumstances who have to stay in the hospital for treatment during Tet... also received the attention and practical support from the Party committees, the appropriate authorities, the Fatherland Front Committee, the departments, branches and organizations. Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh Ngoc, the Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, says: In the whole province, there currently are 20,306 poor households, 19,702 near-poor households. Implementing the policy of the Party and State, promoting the movement "joining hands for the poor, leaving no one behind”, the province has spent over 16 billion VND to support the poor and near-poor households so that they have Tet.

The supporting level is 500 thousand VND/poor household, 300 thousand VND/near poor household. In addition to that care, the province have received tens of billions dongs from organizations, individuals, and social communities to transfer directly to the the beneficiaries, through the activities and programs "Tet for the Poor”; "Giving gifts to people who have contributed to the revolution”; "Warm Spring - Tet of Love”; "Volunteering spring”; "Humanitarian strength”; "Compassionate Tet market”... On the other hand, the province ensures the implementation of regimes and policies for all subjects fairly, openly and in accordance with the regulations before Tet; It is necessary to request the localities to review, understand the situation and make a list to deploy the food support to the households at risk of hunger during the hunger season. Thereby, it helps create the conditions for all people to enjoy Spring and welcome Tet, contributing to ensuring the social security and stabilizing life.
