Accordingly, the response plan focuses on promoting dissemination and encouraging union members and women to wear ‘ao dai’ to affirm and honour the value of the Vietnamese traditional costume in social life, thus creating a spillover effect in the community, and inspiring pride and responsibility to preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural heritage.

In addition, a wide range of activities will be organised such as ‘ao dai’ shows, meetings with designers and tailors, contests, and workshops, together with presenting ‘ao dai’ to poor women.

The provincial Women's Union also directed its chapters to coordinate with the trade union and the education and training sector to encourage officials, civil servants, labourers and students to wear ‘ao dai’ at work, school and event.
