According to the People's Committee of Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province, by the end of 2023, Tan Lac district has 10/15 communes that meet new rural standards, with an average of 16 criteria per commune. The entire district has 14 OCOP products, including 13 3-star OCOP products and 1 4-star OCOP product; 18 model residential areas and 57 model gardens were recognized.

In 2024, Tan Lac district continues to mobilize resources to accelerate the new rural construction program. In particular, strive to achieve 16.5 new rural criteria per commune; the district has 1 more commune meeting new rural standards and 2 communes meeting advanced new rural standards.
Besides, the district strives to have 5 more model residential areas and 15 recognized model gardens; standardize at least 3 OCOP products. The distict continue to complete essential projects to meet the requirements of production development and life of rural residents.
In late March, 29 labourers from Da Bac district were sent to work as seasonal farm workers in Buyeo county, Chungcheongnam province, the Republic of Korea (RoK).
