The club model "Women integrating in the online environment" is one of the two basic models of a project on empowering women through access to the Law on Cyber Security, and the Marriage and Family Law, sponsored by the Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF) - EU Justice and Legal Empowerment Programme (EU JULE).
This is a model of organising voluntary social activities in the community, with the purpose of raising awareness of women and the community about the role of each person in preventing and combating fraud and crime in cyberspace, and building happy families.
Members of the model club in Doan Ket commune (Yen Thuy) participate in a communication programme under the project.
Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, Chief of Office of the provincial Women's Union, said that in August 2023, the union made debut two "Women integrating in the online environment" clubs with 60 members in the communes of Doan Ket (Yen Thuy) and Huong Nhuong (Lac Son). Members are reputable individuals in the community, who actively participate in social activities.
After the establishment of the clubs, the provincial Women's Union project management board has organised 21 training classes, and various communication activities. With diverse forms, those activities have drawn the attention and active participation of members and local people. For example, the talk on using social networks properly, safely and effectively attracted the participation of 200 union members and people; or the training programme on skills to use e-commerce applications and social networks in business activities inspired the establishment of an economic development group with similar interests to support each other in production and business. Over 3,100 people in the two communes have benefited from activities of the model.
