Recently, Yen Thuy district has focused on promoting various emulation movements, highlighting examples of "good people and good deeds," and discovering, nurturing and spreading effective and innovative role models to inspire the community and society at large. This approach aims to drive patriotic emulation movements and contribute to local socio-economic development.
Family

donating land for road construction and rural development.
Accompanied by communal leaders, we visited the family of Bui
Thi Chien at Men Lien Ket hamlet, a role model for donating land for road
construction and rural development in the area.
Chien’s family is among the five outstanding examples in Yen
Thuy recognised by the provincial People's Committee this year. Other notable
contributors include Bui Van Nien from Roc hamlet, Huu Loi commune, who donated
2,409 sq.m of farming land for a road project worth an estimated 130 million
VND (5,400 USD); Bui Van Linh from Lương Cao hamlet, Lac Luong commune, who
donated over 450 sq.m of residential land for road construction valued at
roughly 180 million VND; and Bui Van Chung from Hop Ly hamlet, Bao Hieu
commune, who donated 2,242.8 sq.m of land planted with acacia trees, valued at
around 200 million VND, for road and Lac Sy preschool construction projects.
Earlier, the district People's Committee issued the Decision No.
895/QĐ-UBND dated February 27, 2024, recognising 11 collectives and 14
individuals as role models at the grassroots level for 2024. Based on the
district's proposal, the provincial Emulation and Commendation Committee
conducted on-site assessments and recommended the provincial Emulation and
Commendation Council to propose to the Chairman of the provincial People’s
Committee onhonouring one collective and four individuals from Yen Thuy
district as outstanding role models at the provincial level.
Chairman of the district People's Committee Bui Van Hai said in
the coming time, the district will strengthen efforts in identifying and
spreading role models, effectively carry out a coordination programme between
emulation and commendation agencies and the media from the district to the
grassroots level, spread President Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic
emulation and the Party's policies and State laws on emulation and reward. It
will also promptly honour outstanding examples in various emulation movements
across all areas of social life, reward workers, farmers, collectives and
individuals with extraordinary achievements to educate exemplary behaviours and
encourage active participation in emulation movements. The locality will
continue to effectively respond to emulation movements initiated by the Prime
Minister.
