A delegation from the Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee led by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, on March 20 inspected the progress of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project in Mai Chau district.
Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman
of the provincial People's Committee Bui Duc Hinh, Vice Chairman of the
provincial People's Committee Quach Tat Liem, and representatives from some
departments and Mai Chau district joined the delegation.

Officials inspect the Hoa Binh - Moc
Chau expressway project at Km 19 in Da Do hamlet of Tan Thanh commune, Mai Chau
district.
The expressway project covers a total area of 111.36 ha in Mai
Chau district. But so far, just over 100 ha has been made available for
construction because of pending site clearance at a mining area.
The Standing Board of the Mai Chau district Party Committee
reported that it has directed the district People's Committee to carry out land
revocation, compensation payments, and resettlement while publicizing relevant
information. Local households agreed to transfer land for the expressway
construction by December 17, 2024.
During the inspection, leaders of Mai Chau pointed out certain
difficulties and obstacles in implementing the project, including those related
to compensation. The district also proposed the provincial People's Committee
provide specific guidance for the sub-projects that have been surveyed and for
which residents have agreed to provide land in advance.
Concluding the inspection, Long acknowledged local authorities'
efforts in directing site clearance for the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway
project.
He urged the district to continue to closely coordinate with
relevant departments to increase communications to win public support for the
project, promptly resolve remaining obstacles, and hand over land to implement
the project on schedule.
The Standing Board of the provincial People’s Commitee needs to
ensure the immediate handover of the entire ground for the project. Meanwhile,
the investor has to order contractors to accelerate progress and mobilize machinery, equipment, and workers at the readied sites, ensuring construction
progress and disbursement in accordance with the approved plan.
On this occasion, the Secretary of the provincial Party
Committee and the delegation visited Tan Thanh commune, Mai Chau district. They
encouraged the locality to overcome difficulties to continue effectively
implementing socio-economic development tasks.
Muong Bi - Tan Lac, one of the four major Muong ethnic minority-inhabited regions in Hoa Binh, is known for not only its distinctive cultural identity but also its proud history of heroism, with great contributions to the victory against US invaders in the past. Today, Tan Lac district continues to uphold this legacy while embracing development and renewal.
