(HBO) – Standing Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh province Tran Dang Ninh on February 8 visited and extended Tet (Lunar New Year) greetings to family of Nguyen Trong Tho, late Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ha Son Binh province.
Tho was one of provincial key leaders when the province and
the country entered the Doi Moi (Reform) period in the 1980s. Due to old age
and weak health, he passed away in 2004. His relatives (family of his eldest
son) are now residing in Mieu village in Trung Minh commune of Hoa Binh city.

The Vice
Secretary presented Tet gifts from the provincial Party Committee, People’s
Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to Tho’s
family and expressed his deep gratitude. He also voiced his hope that the late
leader’s descendants will enhance the family’s tradition in learning and
working, contributing to the development of the locality./.

Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times.
