(HBO) – President Ho Chi Minh used to say that: "Emulation is patriotic, patriots must emulate, those who emulate are the most ardent patriots.” Following the late leader’s teaching, Ky Son district of Hoa Binh province has promoted the patriotic emulation movement in a practical manner, thus receiving a warm response from local officials, civil servants, labourers and people.
Staff of the
Public Administrative Centre of Ky Son district have improved the reception and
handling of administrative procedures for local people and organisations.
In
agro-forestry-fishery production, farmers across the district have stepped up
intensive farming, production and business activities, and restructuring of
crop and animal husbandry to develop advantageous products. Responding to
emulation movements, they have enhanced the application of science and
technology in agricultural production and sought new ways to raise
productivity, output, and product quality and value.
Meanwhile, emulation movements associated with
the building of new-style rural areas have expanded strongly, attracting the
participation of local officials, Party members, people and other social
forces. One of the typical examples is the drive to donate land, labour and
construction materials for the construction of rural infrastructure facilities.
Residential areas have emulated one another in
building civilized hamlets and villages with good security and order.
Meanwhile, each family has made efforts to ensure clean homes, beautiful
gardens, healthy environment and civilized hamlets meeting new-style rural area
building standards.
Many role models in building new-style
countryside have been popularized and multiplied, thus contributing to the
successful implementation of political and socio-economic development tasks and
accelerating new-style rural area building. In Ky Son district, four communes
have fulfilled all 19 new-style countryside building criteria, one commune
meeting 15 criteria, and four communes meeting from 10 to 14 criteria.
Administrative reforms have also been enhanced
so as to strongly improve the work performance and attitude while serving
people of officials, civil servants and public employees. The emulation
campaign in this field has also helped increase the local State apparatus’s
management efficiency towards satisfying people and businesses. In 2017, Ky Son
took the lead in the administrative reform index among the district-level
localities of Hoa Binh province, up two places from the previous year. Hop
Thinh and Yen Quang communes and Ky Son town are outstanding examples of
administrative reforms in the district.
