Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has conveyed his sincere thanks to President of France Emmanuel Macron, as well as to other French leaders and the French people, for their respectful reception during his official visit to France from March 25 to 27.

In a cable of thanks sent to the French President on March 28, the Party chief expressed his delight at the sound results of his three-day France trip on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-France strategic partnership.

The visit has left a strong impression of an innovative and dynamic France with multiple initiatives and an increasingly important role in Europe and around the globe, he stated.

General Secretary Trong said he believed that the positive outcomes of the visit, with the signing of many cooperation documents in various spheres, will open a new period for relations between the two countries, while working to accelerate bilateral cooperative ties in a more vigorous, comprehensive and effective manner, for the sake of the two countries’ people, as well as for peace, stability, cooperation, and development.

He wished France to continue developing strongly and comprehensively; wished French President Macron and other French leaders good health, happiness and success; and wished for the Vietnam-France strategic partnership to unceasingly flourish in the time ahead.
