Under a new direction from the Prime Minister on enhancing Vietnam’s e-government development index, in line with the United Nations’ evaluation methods, the ministries, sectors, and localities must improve the quality of their online public services, with the priority given to important services.

They were requested to efficiently carry out the Government’s Decree No.61/2018/ND-CP issued on April 23, 2018, on the implementation of the single-window mechanism in dealing with administrative procedures – ensuring that each ministry, sector, and locality has only one concentrated online service portal that is convenient for people and enterprises to use.

The Ministry of Information and Communications was assigned to review and evaluate the component index of Vietnam’s infrastructure in accordance with the assessment methods of the UN, while also giving proposals on measures to improve the index, to be submitted to the Government before September 1, 2018.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education and Training was also asked to provide full and updated information on Vietnam’s human resources index to the international organisations concerned, while continuing to apply measures to enhance the index.
