Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un and his entourage have arrived at Melia Hanoi Hotel after two and a half hours moving from Dong Dang Station in the northern border province of Lang Son.

The DPRK Chairman left Pyongyang on February 23 afternoon on a
special train for Vietnam where he will attend the second DPRK-USA Summit on
February 27 and 28.
He will also pay an official friendship visit to Vietnam at the invitation of
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC)
and President Nguyen Phu Trong.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) had previously reported that the DPRK
Chairman has been accompanied by senior DPRK officials, including his younger
sister Kim Yo-jong, alternate member of the Political Bureau and Deputy
Director of the WPK Central Committee’s Propaganda and Agitation Department,
and Vice Chairman of the WPK Central Committee Kim Yong-chol.
Juts after a short time, Vietnam has completed all necessary preparations for
the important event. Through the hosting of the summit, Hanoi wants to deliver
a message of the "City for Peace” to the international community.
The DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam is an international event that has drawn much
attention from the world as it directly related to peace building in the region
and there have been positive signals in the negotiation process since the first
summit in Singapore in June 2018.
Vietnam and the DPRK officially established diplomatic relations on January 31,
1950. Since then, Vietnam has always treasured the traditional friendship and
cooperation with the DPRK.
