(HBO) – Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh province’s Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh on May 7 worked with the Standing Committee of the association for support of Martyrs' families of the locality.

Established in January 2016, the association has abided by the leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, and coordination of relevant departments, sectors, agencies and organisations to overcome difficulties, thus gradually stabilizing its activities and successfully completing the resolutions of the first Party Congress in the 2016-2020 term.

Notably, the association has provided aid of 60 million VND for building a house for a revolutionary martyr’s family in Mai Chau district. It coordinated with enterprises to present 36 savings books worth 43 million VND, 346 packages of gift to revolutionary martyrs’ families with difficult circumstances; and gave six bicycles, 2,000 notebooks and 4 million VND to children and descendants of martyrs and poor students in Kim Boi district.

The association also assisted the construction of a new house and repaired another for a local revolutionary martyr’s families. 

It also coordinated with relevant agencies to bring back and organize burial ceremonies for remains of 45 martyrs from southern battlefields to cemeteries in districts of the locality. 

Many activities to commemorate martyrs and those to honour individuals and organisations for their contributions to the work have been also organised. 

 

The association has also paid attention to popularizing policies for the martyrs and their families.

Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh province’s Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh urged the association to closer coordinate with departments, sectors and organisations to further strengthen the martyr-related work. 

The provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs was asked to invest in building the office of the association and provide it with equipment. 

Meanwhile, relevant department and sectors were required to cooperate with the association in developing the association’s network, and working out measures to better the effectiveness of its activities./.

It was attended by senior provincial officials, including Bui Thi Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; other members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; and members of the document subcommittee.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
