at 150 million VND, surpassing the target.
Concluding the inspection, Tinh lauded the provincial
agriculture and rural development sector for fulfilling the resolution’s
targets. He also pointed out shortcomings and weaknesses, such as spontaneous
agriculture development, limited leadership on new-style rural area building,
risks of rural environment hygiene.
He suggested that the sector perform several major tasks
such as giving consultation to the province on the issuance of a thematic resolution
on forestry economic development, continuing to propose agricultural
development mechanisms and policies, reviewing master plans on agricultural
development, encouraging farmers to switch to new production methods and products
of higher value on the same land, adopting technological advances in production
to meet high demand in the market, stepping up new rural area building,
investing more in agriculture infrastructure, dealing with risks regarding
natural disasters and environment pollution, developing high-tech agriculture
in combination with tourism services, and improving production values and
farmers’ lives./.
