(HBO) – The Hoa Binh provincial Architects’ Association convened its 7th Congress for the 2020 – 2025 tenure in Hoa Binh city on October 31. Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Duc Hinh and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Architects’ Association Nguyen Quoc Thong.

Over the past years, the provincial Architects’ Association has strived to unite its members to implement the Resolution adopted by the sixth Congress. The results of the province’s planning, architecture and construction activities are attributable to the efforts of people of all social strata, including local architects, contributing to positively changing the face of urban and rural areas, and developing a synchronous infrastructure network. 

A number of projects on housing, industrial parks and new urban areas are underway. Urban environment has received due attention. Better urban quality has improved urban architectural space and living conditions of residents. Additionally, the provincial Association of Architects always actively gives suggestions to the province and localities in the fields of planning, architecture, construction and social criticism.

In the next tenure, the provincial Architects’ Association has set the goal of promoting sustainable development of local architecture, including green and eco-friendly architecture that suit local conditions while gathering more creative forces among architects, contributing to the province’s architecture sector.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Quoc Thong spoke highly of the provincial Architects’ Association’s contributions to the local development over the past years and wished that the association will bring its role into full play to build a modern and prosperous province, and its members would produce more creative and eco-friendly works for the community.

The Congress elected a five-member executive board for the seventh tenure (2020 – 2025), two members for the inspection board and two delegates to attend the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Architects’ Association./.
