(HBO) - Since the beginning of 2019, the People’s Committee of Ky Son district launched an emulation movement, and instructed departments and agencies to materialise the movement in tandem with political and socio-economic tasks.
Nguyen Tien Thuong, from
Nha hamlet, Hop Thanh commune, Ky Son district, Hoa Binh province, is a role
model in production development, contributing to local new-style rural area
building programme.
The
implementation of Party resolutions has been integrated with the realisation of
Directive No. 05-CT/TW on the enhancement of studying and following late
President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle.
Patriotic
emulation movements have attracted the widespread participation of local
officials and people. Such movements focused on new-style rural area building,
the transformation of plant cultivation and animal breeding structure,
scientific-technological application in production and administrative reform,
among others.
Thanks
to such drives, Ky Son district accomplished 14 out of 15 set targets in 2019.
The local agro-forestry-fishery sector grew 4 percent; industry-construction,
up 16.6 percent; and services, up 14.8 percent.
The
agro-forestry-fishery sector made up 22.85 percent of the local economy.
Meanwhile, industry and construction accounted for 40.9 percent; and services,
36.25 percent.
The
district’s total budget collection was 57.5 billion VND and average per capita
income reached 57 million VND.
Eight
communes in Ky Son have been recognised as new-style rural areas ahead of
schedule, and 15 out of 22 schools in the locality have won natural status. The
district’s poverty rate dropped to 4.42 percent, completing 133.4 percent of
the target assigned by the local People’s Council.

Ky Son has made outstanding performance in land clearance, administrative
reform, Party building, and ensuring political security and social order and
safety./.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
