(HBO) – Hoa Binh province’s management board of the "For the Poor” fund on September 29 organised a conference to evaluate fund mobilisation and use as well as prepare for the "Month for the Poor” event in 2020.
The event was attended by Nguyen Thi Oanh, head of the
provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission, Chairwoman of the
provincial Fatherland Front and head of the province’s management board of the
"For the Poor” fund.

According to the fund management board, 9.97 trillion VND (429.77 million
USD) has been mobilised to support the impoverished as of September 2020, up 60
percent from the same time last year.
More than 6 trillion VND was used to build 151 houses and repair two others;
present Tet gifts; support members of the province’s blind people association
and traditional association of Truong Son soldiers; and buy cement for road
construction. The fund actually helped poor people overcome difficulties,
contributing to ensure local social welfare.
However, several donors have not transferred money to the fund yet.
The meeting also looked into a draft plan to organise the "Month for the Poor” event
slated for October 17-November 18. A launching ceremony will be held on October
16. Local officials, staff, and businesses can give donation in cash or by bank
transfer, building materials, breeds of livestock, saplings, or machines, among
others./.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
