(HBO) - In recent years, Hoa Binh province has achieved important achievements across fields, including fulfilling 18 out of 20 targets set in the Resolution of the 16th provincial Party Congress, creating a foundation for Hoa Binh to develop rapidly and sustainably in the coming years.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan and a working delegation inspect the construction progress of Canh Tang Reservoir Project (Lac Son district) – one of the key projects in the locality.

During the last five years, the province’s economic size has been expanded at an annual average rate of 7.59 percent.

The provincial GRDP in 2020 is estimated to reach 54.95 trillion VND, 1.65 times higher than that of 2015.

Hoa Binh’s economic structure has shifted in a positive direction. The industry-construction sector is projected to account for 45.58 percent of the economy as of the end of 2020, while service, and agro-forestry-aquaculture sectors would make up 29.32 percent and 19.98 percent, respectively.

Per capita GRDP is about 63.8 million VND, equivalent to about 92 percent of the national figure.

The indicators related to State budget collection, total social investment capital, the number of enterprises and cooperatives that established and operating effectively, the total export-import turnover, the urbanization rate, and the proportion of communes meeting new-style rural standards all met or exceeded the targets set by the 16th provincial Party Congress’s Resolution.

As the gateway connecting Hanoi capital and the Northwest region, Hoa Binh is tending towards turning into a satellite and smart city in the capital region, which is expected to open great opportunities for Hoa Binh’s development.

In the context of intertwined advantages, opportunities and challenges, the Party Committee, authorities and people of ethnic groups in the province are required to strive with the highest will and determination in order to successfully complete goals and tasks of the locality in the coming years.

Hoa Binh is aiming to be among the medium-range group among localities nationwide in terms of economy size by 2025./.
