The Party was founded in the spring of February 3, 1930 - a great historical event, a very important turning point in the history of the Vietnam’s revolution, marking a shining milestone on the way of construction and development of our nation.
Over the past 91 years, since its foundation, the Party has always been the leader of the Vietnamese revolution, accompanying with the national development, guiding the Vietnamese revolutionary boat over challenges, landing successfully, and opening a new era in the national history, realizing the goal of "a rich people, a strong country, a democratic, fair, civilized society".
Under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the August Revolutionary General Uprising in 1945 regained independence and freedom, bringing our country out of the "long night of slavery", giving birth to theDemocratic Republic of Vietnam. In the two long resistance wars of the nation, the Party led the People to make glorious, earth-shaking feats, liberating the South, reuniting the country.
Following such great feats in the cause of fighting and defending the Fatherland, the Party continues to lead the whole nation to overcome the consequences of wars, to develop the national economics and construction. By 1986, at the 6th National Congress, our Party proposed a comprehensive renovation of the country, opening up a new turning point in the cause of national construction.
The 35 years of Doi Moi (Reformation) have affirmed the Party's strength in its close attachment to the people. The Party has constantly consolidated, built and self-rectified to consolidate the people's confidence in the Party. "The will of the Party - the heart of the people" have merged together, creating a beautiful spring, becoming a sharp weapon to curb with all difficulties and challenges. The country's position and image, therefore, has been increasingly enhanced, people's living conditions have been improved day by day. The once-poor Vietnam has become an equal partner with many reputable countries in the international arena.
Together with the whole country, the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee is constantly innovating, improving its leadership capacity and strength, focusing on leadership, directing and applying creatively, in accordance with the guidance, resolutions and policies of the Central Government in practical conditions, thus creating strong changes in all areas of building the Party political system, and socio-economic development.
Hoa Binh province joins the country's renewal flow. Hoa Binh people enjoy the results of innovation. The outlook of urban and rural areas, production and people's lives have witnessed remarkable changes. The mountainous district of Da Bac, once considered as a "shadow" at the foot of a lamppost, knowned for its traffic isolation and poverty, now the living condition has much improved in the remote villages of Nanh Nghe, Tien Phong, Muong Chieng, Muong Tuong. Local people benefit from ethnic policies on sustainable poverty reduction, developing fish farming in hydroelectric reservoirs; exploiting natural landscapes and local culture to develop community-based tourism.
Investment has been strongly made in traffic roads, social welfare works in many difficult areas such as: Hang Kia, Pa Co, Cun Pheo, Bao La, Thanh Son (Mai Chau). Local agricultural products and specific goods have accessed to the market. Investors look to invest in the upland communes of Lac Son, Tan Lac. Towns, townships and cities have new look. Policies on social security and poverty reduction have been implemented. Building of large-scale and key roads, over-river bridges continue to be constructed. All of these efforts are to make sure a prosperous, happy future and development for the homeland.
In 2020 and the 2015-2020 tenure, amid difficulties, most of the province socio-economic targets have been met thanks to the joint efforts of the provincial Party Committee and local people. The economy maintained a fairly good growth rate, the scale of the economy was expanded. Per capita income annually reached 64.5 million VND, higher than the average income in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. Poor household rate reduced to 8.56%. The province’s new-style rural area building is in the top of the northern mountainous region, contributing to changing the production and living condition of local people. The province has numerous branded agricultural products such as: Orange, pomelo, Da river fish, Lac Thuy chicken, Luong Son organic vegetables. Hoa Binh tourism products and brands are gradually been asserted. The province earned over 1 billion USD in export. Hoa Binh is becoming the hub for investment projects with the combined capital of up to thousands of billion VND in the fields of tourism, eco-urban, industry.
The Provincial Party Committee continues to innovate and improve the Party's comprehensive leadership capacity, focusing on implementing specific action programs to strive to become a province with the average development level of the country by 2025. It focuses on economic development in association with sustainable environmental protection, for the better and happier quality of life for people.
