(HBO) – The Election Committee of Hoa Binh reported that 639,855 out of 645,995 voters in the province, or 99.05 percent, had cast their ballots as of 7pm of May 23. The number of voters was up 837 compared to the figure reported at 5pm due to mistakes in data updating by some units. Accordingly, the rate of turnout also decreased by 0.22 percent.

At exactly 7pm May 23, member of the vote counting team and voters’ representatives in the polling unit No.1 in Phuong Lam ward of Hoa Binh city check the seal of the voting box before opening it. Five out of 10 districts in the province recorded a 100 percent turnout rate, namely Mai Chau, Luong Son, Yen Thuy, Kim Boi and Cao Phong.

All 151 out of 151 communes in the province, or 100 percent, finished their voting activities, while the number of polling units completing the work was 1,279.

Throughout the election process, COVID-19 prevention and control measures were strictly implemented at polling stations in line with the Health Ministry’s regulations. Meanwhile, security and order were ensured. After 7pm of the same day, vote counting teams opened the voting boxes to count the votes in line with the regulations./.
