(HBO) - Coming to Ru Moi village, Hop Phong commune (Cao Phong), few people do not know Mr. Bui Van Ty, an exemplary veteran with the movement of donating land to build the new countryside.

Mr. Bui Van Ty (on the left), from Ru Moi hamlet, Hop Phong commune (Cao Phong) is introducing his family’s first land donated to build a local school.

After leaving the army, returning to the locality, Mr. Ty participated in Party committee of the Veterans’ Union in Ru Moi village and he has been one of the exemplary members, he has been active in all of the local movements. He and his family has always strictly abided by all the guidelines and instructions of the Party, the policies and laws of the State. Right after the Party committee and local government launched the movement "All people joining hands to build a new countryside”, he mobilized the members and his family members to actively respond to. The first thing he did was to donate land for the construction of the secondary school in Xuan Phong commune (old). Mr. Ty said: "Although the family still has many difficulties, however, when I understood the policy of the commune, building a new headquarters for the secondary school, I discussed with my family, and we donated 400 square meters of land to build a school and some other ancillary works. After the site clearance, the construction was done, the children have a new school and class to study, I am very happy because I only donated a part of the land to help the commune expand the school, having a spacious new office, creating favorable conditions for the for the teachers to educate the local children”.

In 2016, Mr. Ty's family continued to donate 550 square meters of land to expand the communal health station. And most recently, in 2019, Mr. Ty volunteered to donate 450 square meters of land for construction site clearance of the communual kidergaten. Through 3 times, his family donated a total of 1,400 square meters of land to build the schools and the health station. Every project has been completed and put into use, and they have shown remarkable results so far. Only 1,000 m2 of land remains for use and production out of a total of 2,400 square meters of his family’s land. However, Mr. Ty still decided to sacrifice the interests of his family for the common good of the social community.

Mr. Bui Duc Thuan, the Secretary of Hop Phong Party Committee said: "Each square meter of land for the farmer is extremely valuable because of "an inch of land, an inch of gold”, especially for a household that is still as difficult as a Mr. Ty’s family. Not only having been recognized by Party committees and authorities at all levels from the province to the grassroots level, he is also always loved and appreciated by the people and neighbors for his contribution to the local renewal process”.
