(HBO) – Luong Son district has implemented social distancing measures following Directive No. 10/CT-UBND issued on July 27 by the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee to prevent COVID-19 spreading. In order to ensure the supply of goods to locals, the district has applied various measures, thus avoiding the disruption of supply chains of goods for locals, especially during 15 days of social distancing.

Strictly implementing the directive, from 6pm of July 27, all traditional markets and groceries have followed social distancing measures.

In the Luong Son central market in Luong Son township, Quan Trang market in Lien Son commune and So market in Cao Duong district, checkpoints have been set up to control people entering the markets. The management boards of the market regulate people entering the markets, ensuring that they keep a safe distance from each other, making health declarations and having their body temperature measured.

Shops selling unnecessary goods in the markets have been closed. Vehicles transporting necessary goods have been certified with "green lane” certificate. Therefore, the supply of necessary goods has remained stable.

As the motivation area of the province, Luong Son has strong agricultural, trade and service sectors. The district is home to 18 co-operatives and businesses providing necessary goods and 350 groceries. Goods are abundant at distribution and retail systems.

For farm produce, the district People's Committee has directed the Office for Agriculture and Rural Development and the Centre for Agricultural Services to make survey and assess the supplies of agricultural products in the district, while coordinating with relevant agencies to implement plans to buy products of farmers.

The committee hasdirected shops selling OCOP across the locality to provide goods for local residents.

At the same time, on July 31, the committee issued Document No. 1413/UBND-KTHT guiding locals in going to the market to buy necessary goods in five markets in the district. Communes and Luong Son township have allowed people to enter markets in different days and hours depending on a timetable, using passing tickets, ensuring that people going to markets once in at least three days.
