(HBO) - Over the past time, Lac Thuy district has achieved many important results in various fields thanks to the consensus of the people. It is an affirmation of the effective implementation of democratic regulations at the grassroots level, contributing to strengthening the people's confidence in the leadership of the Party, and the direction and administration of governments at all levels.
To ensure transparency of grassroots democracy
regulations, information about candidates were listed at polling stations in
Lac Thuy district in the election of deputies to the National Assembly and
People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
The motto "the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people
monitor" is reflected clearly in each local activity, promoting the
people's right to mastership. Notably, in the elections of deputies to People's
Councils at all levels for the 2021 - 2026 term taking place in May 2021,
information about candidates was listed at polling stations so people could
select the representatives they wanted.
Staff at the one-stop-shop units of the People’s Committees of Dong Tam and An
Binh communes or Chi Ne Town enthusiastically guide people on how to complete
procedures. All administrative procedures are listed in the units so that it is
easy for people to follow.
The heads of the Party Committees and administrations hold dialogues with
citizens on the 10th and 20th every month, promptly settling their complaints
and denunciations. The meetings focus on the issues that drew people’s concern.
People's feedback is responded to directly and relevant agencies are assigned
to solve outstanding issues. This year, communal and town officials have
received 284 citizens, an increase of 92 meetings compared to last year’s
figure.
All communes and townships have people’s inspection committees and groups in
charge of supervising community investment.
The district has succeeded in mobilizing a total of 6.5 billion VND (285,400
USD) from locals. Residents also donated 34,000 sq.m of land for infrastructure
construction.
Bui Thi Phuong Loan, head of the district Committee for Mass Mobilisation, said
it is necessary for the heads of agencies and units to have the right awareness
on the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations to ensure its
effectiveness.
The dissemination of the regulations among people should be closely
linkedwith the promotion of cadres and party members' exemplary role, she
said, adding that the inspection work and self-criticism and criticism practice
within the Party members and cadres should be enhanced at the same time./.
After three years of implementing the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW on continuing performing Directive 05-CT/TW on enhancing the learning and studying of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, moral example and lifestyle, Lac Thuy district of Hoa Binh province has discovered many effective models and practices, creating a spillover effect in the local community, helping to develop a clean and strong Party Organisation meeting the requirements in the new situation.
