(HBO) - On January 15th, the Fatherland Front of Tan Lac district gave 100 sets of Tet gifts to the poor households in 3 communes, Phu Cuong, Phu Vinh, and My Hoa. Each gift is worth 700,000 VND, including one warm blanket and confectionery, the necessities and 300,000 VND in cash. Twenty sets of gifts were distributed and given to the poor households in Phu Cuong commune, 35 ones were given in Phu Vinh and 25 ones were given in My Hoa.

The households
receiving gifts were the poor ones with extremely difficult circumstances and
those who were heavily affected by Covid-19 pandemics. The selection of the poor
households to receive gifts and the organization of gift giving were done
openly and transparently, ensuring the prevention and control of Covid-19
epidemics, which was divided into groups of the households to receive gifts at
the communal headquarters.
The
above-mentioned sets of Tet gifts were deducted and purchased from the
Provincial Fund for the Poor. The Standing Committee of the Provincial
Fatherland Front has allocated 150 sets of gifts to the Fatherland Front of Tan
Lac to give to the poor on the occasion of the Lunar New Year in 2022.
For the poor
households in the remaining communes of the district, the district’s Fatherland
Front will deduct the funds from the district-level Fund for the Poor and
mobilize the resources from benefactors to give in the coming time.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies.
