Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee and head of the National Assembly deputies’ delegation of Hoa Binh, addresses the meeting.

Participants discussed the draft directives of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board regarding the enhancement of the Party’s leadership over the State budget collection and collection management in 2022, as well as over policies for revolution contributors in the run up to the 75th War Invalids and Martyrs Day this year. They also scrutinised the Standing Board’s draft announcement of results of the monitoring of the implementation of its Directive No. 16-CT/TU, issued on May 25, 2016, on strengthening the Party’s leadership over the reception and settlement of crime denunciations.

Speaking at the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan acknowledged the opinions and asked the drafting agency to promptly finalise the drafts.

He agreed on the need to issue a directive of the Standing Board to promote the leadership over the budget collection so as to meet the target set by the provincial Party Organisation.

Stressing that there remains much potential for higher State budget revenue, he asked for better management and capitalisation of revenue sources, improved handling of tax arrears, and faster disbursement of capital. In addition, it is also necessary to pay more attention to reforming administrative procedures, improving civil servants’ performance, attracting investment, and removing obstacles to production and business activities so as to create sustainable revenue sources for the budget.

Tuan also underlined the necessity for a directive on policies for revolution contributors, requesting detailed targets and stronger engagement of private sector so that the whole society can join hands in caring for the group.

In terms of the draft announcement of the monitoring results of the Directive No. 16-CT/TU implementation, the official demanded a mechanism for receiving crime denunciations, protection of whistleblowers, timely and proper settlement of denunciations, coordination among prosecution agencies, along with impartiality and objectivity in the denunciation settlement so as to guarantee political security and social order and safety./.
