(HBO) – A tree planting festival for the Year of the Tiger was launched on February 7, or the seventh day of the lunar new year, at a relic site where late President Ho Chi Minh visited the Chi Hoa Manufacturing Group in Doc Phan village, Lam Son commune of Hoa Binh’s Luong Son district.

visited the Chi Hoa Manufacturing Group in Doc Phan village, Lam Son commune of
Luong Son district. The restoration of the site is set to complete on the 132nd
birth anniversary of the late President (May 19).

More than 60 years ago, President Ho Chi Minh
launched the ‘tree-planting festival’. Luong Son authorities asked authorities
at all levels and socio-political organisations to raise public awareness of
the aim and meaning of the festival as well as forest planting and protection.
This year, the district aims to grow more than
30,000 dispersed trees, and ensure that forests fill over 80 percent of
assigned forestry land and forest coverage is kept stable at 42 percent.
The improvement of forest planting productivity, quality and efficiency must be
in line with the protection of current forest resources and prevention of
deforestation and illegal exploitation.
Efforts should be made to restructure the
forestry sector and increase share and value of the forest economy in a bid to
raise quality of people’s living conditions and sustainable development of
Luong Son.
After the launch ceremony, the leaders of the
province and Luong Son district planted trees at the relic.
Extending his Tet wishes to the standing board
of Luong Son’s Party Committee, Tuan highly valued outcomes obtained by the
district in the recent past, voicing his hope that it will pay due attention to
forest planting for economic and tourism development.
As a key region of Hoa Binh, Luong Son was
requested to tap on its strengths, focus on meeting requirements of 4-tier
urban area and strive to become a town by 2025 as planned./.
The Hoa Binh provincial People's Committee held a gathering at the provincial Military Command headquarters on May 20 to commend the armed forces that took part in a military parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30.

He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
In recent years, the education and training sector in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, has actively integrated its tasks with the promotion of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, ethics, and style. This approach has contributed significantly to improving the overall quality of education across the district.
The Hoa Binh provincial museum on May 16 opened a thematic exhibition "Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam" with more than 200 documents, images and objects featuring the glorious 95-year journey of the Party.
Hoa Binh police are collecting public feedback on amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the national identification app VNeID. This innovative approach marks a giant leap towards modernising grassroots democracy and enhancing transparency in public consultation.
