(HBO) – like others nationwide, all the district-level localities in Hoa Binh province organised the hand-over ceremonies for new recruits in 2022 in the morning of February 16.

The recruit hand-over ceremony at the stadium of Hoa Binh city in Ky Son ward was held briefly with anti-pandemic measures taken. All of the young people joining the military and public security forces this time were fully aware of their responsibility towards the Fatherland.

The 19 year-old Bui Anh Tuan, residing in Trung Minh ward of Hoa Binh city, is among the 155 residents of the city enlisted into the armed forces this year. He said the first and foremost responsibility of a young citizen is to fulfill his obligation towards the Fatherland, and that at whichever unit he will serve and regardless of whatever difficulties and challenges, he will strive to make self-improvement and bring into play his hometown’s tradition.

Bui Chi Cong from Minh Son hamlet of Yen Tri commune, Yen Thuy district, graduated from the Hung Yen University of Technology and Education in 2021. He said while studying at the university, he wished to join the army to improve himself, make dedication, and become more mature. Many other young people in the commune are also aware of their responsibility towards their hometown and the Fatherland and decided to become part of the armed forces.

Major Vu Ngoc Diep, deputy head of the Military Command of Yen Thuy district, said the district has 131 people qualified for the military service this time. All of them are eligible in terms of health and political awareness. They are truly outstanding youths of Yen Thuy who will contribute to national development and defence.

This year, Hoa Binh province has more than 1,700 young people enlisted into the military and public security forces. Over 70 percent of them have their health at Level 1 or 2, nearly 80 percent already graduated from high schools, 82 percent are aged 18 - 20, 5.8 percent are Party members, and 22.5 percent have received training to prepare for the admission into the Party. In particular, many people excluded from this time’s recruitment voluntarily applied to join the armed forces.
