(HBO) – After the ‘Khai ha’ (going down the field) festival held on the eighth day of the lunar year, people in Phong Phu commune of Tan Lac district begin tasks of the new year.

Thuong said that the former soldiers now play a vanguard role in socio-economic
development in the locality. The association has more than 570 well-off member
households and 300 others building effective economic models.
Despite the complex developments of the COVID-19 last year, local authorities
launched emulation campaigns to realise the twin targets of boosting
socio-economic development and curbing the spread of the pandemic.
Chairman of the People’s Committee of the district Bui Van Nho said various
campaigns have been effectively carried out, notably the one in Tan Lac in
building new-style rural areas in line with creating modern urban areas; and
another calling on local people to join hands to support the poor and leave no
one behind; and more.
In 2021, the agro-forestry-fishery sector posted a growth rate of 4.8 percent,
up 0.2 percent year on year. The sector’s export value was estimated at 11.09
trillion VND (486.08 million USD), up 5.2 percent; the rate of rural residents
having access to clean water hit 95.3 percent, and forest coverage stabilised
at over 51.5 percent.
Total production value surpassed 1.12 trillion VND, seeing a year-on-year surge
of 9.7 percent while social investment capital neared 1.96 trillion VND.
Average per capita income was valued at 33.38 million VND in the year and the
proportion of poor households stood at 13 percent. Land clearance has been sped
up to meet the schedule of projects, as well as the programme to build
new-style rural areas.
Political security and social order have been maintained and COVID-19
prevention and control measures in place, ensuring that the vaccination
campaign was on schedule and safe.
Last year, the Kim Dong secondary school was honoured with a commemorative flag
from the Prime Minister highlighting its outstanding achievements in the
emulation campaign, and six other collectives received flags from the
provincial People’s Committee and 14 earned certificates of merit bestowed by
the Chairman of the Committee.
For 2022, the district has launched a campaign calling on all in Tan Lac to
stay united, disciplined and responsible to safely adapt to the new situation
and recover for growth, with an aim to fulfil targets and tasks for
socio-economic development this year./.
