(HBO) – Since early January, Phung Nhu Hoa, owner of a motel in Huu Nghi ward (Hoa Binh city), has no longer needed to visit the ward police station to make declarations of guest stays at her facility daily. Now she can just do it from her home using a mobile phone with internet access.

provincial Department of Public Security process people’s information and
applications for chip-based ID card issuance.
Hoa said she was instructed by the ward’s police
officers on how to declare stays of guests through the national public service
portal and she found it very convenient. With just an internet-connected
smartphone or device, she can log in the portal to fill out the declarations
anytime from anywhere without having to pay any fees. Plus, it also helps her
observe the pandemic prevention rule on keeping physical distance with others
at the time of COVID-19.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang
Huy, head of the police division for administrative management of social order
under the provincial Department of Public Security, the department has been
actively implementing the Government’s plan on developing population database,
identity and electronic authentication for the 2022 – 2025 period, with a
vision towards 2030 and striving to fulfill goals in proceeding residence registration
and ID card issuance applications online.
The provincial police have deployed various
utilities on the national digital database on population to make it more
convenient for people when it comes to public administration services, for
example, residence registration, vehicle registration, tax declaration, health
insurance application, COVID-19 vaccination update, application for financial
support for pandemic-hit people and businesses.
Since the beginning of this year to February 15,
the provincial police had received and processed over 300 residence
registration inquiries and cooperated with medical facilities to update data of
more than half a million of vaccinated people on the national public service
portal.
To deliver convenient and effective services on
the portal for the residents, the police have focused on providing training for
commune police and actively offering guidelines to citizens to fill out online
forms when they visit the police stations, thus raising their awareness of the
advantages of online services./.
