(HBO) – On the occasion of the 75th War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022), a delegation led by Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and head of the province’s National Assembly deputies delegation, visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Cho in Hoa Binh commune of Hoa Binh city on July 13.

The delegation included representatives of the provincial Party Committee’s Office, the provincial Party Committee’s board for information and education, the provincial Women’s Union, the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Party Committee of Hoa Binh city, and the provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies that cares for the mother.

Mother Cho's two sons laid down their lives in the southern battlefield, namely Nguyen Van Than who died in 1972 and Nguyen Van Sac in 1971. The Heroic Vietnamese Mother, born in 1926, is living with her fifth son, Nguyen Hung Ngat.

On behalf of the delegation, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan enquired after Mother Cho's health and presented her with gifts from the State President and the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh province

He expressed his deep gratitude to all Heroic Vietnam Mothers who gave birth to and brought up soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Fatherland. He wished Cho a happy and healthy life so as to remain a source of spiritual support for her descendants.

On this occasion, representatives of departments, sectors and organisations also presented gifts to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother./.
