(HBO) – The movement of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle has contributed to creating great changes in awareness and action of members of the war veterans’ association of Yen Tri commune, Yen Thuy district.
Many
creative models have been deployed by former soldiers in various fields,
contributing to the successful implementation of the association's targets and
tasks, and promoting the locality’s socio-economic development.
A new rural road managed by the war veterans’ association of Tan Thanh
hamlet, Yen Tri commune (Yen Thuy district).
The commune has so far had 13 new rural roads managed by its war veterans’
association with a total length of over 5 km.
Mr. Pham Van Quy, head of the veterans’ association of Tan Thanh hamlet, said
the movement of studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's thought,
morality and lifestyle has been enthusiastically responded by all the members
of the association.
The association has taken this as a regular work associated with the
implementation of its political task.
Implementing the national target programme on building new-style rural areas,
in the last tenure, the association’s members developed 20 model gardens;
mobilised local war veterans to donate nearly 4,000 sq.m of land and 576
million VND, and contribute over 6,000 working days, to construct essential
infrastructure works.
Yen Tri commune now has one cooperative, two cooperative groups, and 52 farms
owned by the association’s members. These have contributed to promoting
economic development and generating jobs for local labourers.
The association’s fund has mobilised over 300 million VND to support poor
members and those with difficult circumstances.
Leaders and members of the association continue to devote their wisdom, effort
and experience to fulfill all tasks, contributing to affirming it as one of the
typical association establishments in emulation movements in the locality, said
