(HBO) – The great national unity festival 2022 was held in Mung hamlet of Hop Phong commune in Cao Phong district on November 8, which was attended by Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee and State Auditor General; and Nguyen Phi Long, alternative member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, among others.

Mung is a mountainous hamlet with extremely difficult conditions. It is home to
40 households and 225 people, mostly of Muong ethnic minority group.
To date, the per capita income of local residents has reached 24 million VND
(965 USD) per year, while the number of poor households has been reduced to 14.
At the same time, 100% of local children have accessed schooling, and 100% of
households have enjoyed clean water.
Local people have contributed a large number of working days to decorate the
hamlet to serve tourism activities, and donated land for new-style rural area
building.
In 2023, the locality aims to raise per capita income of local residents to 27
million VND, and have 97% of local families recognised as cultural families.
Addressing the event, Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee and
State Auditor General hailed the achievements that the commune has gained.
He asked the hamlet to continue to promote solidarity to rise from
difficulties, and optimise its strengths to get rid of poverty. The locality
should continue to abide by the Party and State’s policies and law, ensuring
security and order, and maintaining cultural identity, he said, suggesting the
hamlet pay more attention to education and training for local children.

On this occasion, Mung hamlet and poor households and students received
presents from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and the Hoa
Binh Party Committee, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee
as well as provincial sectors and Cao Phong district, with a total value of 131
million VND (5,267 USD)./.

Today, Tan Lac district continues to uphold this legacy while embracing development and renewal.
March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies.
