Nguyen Thi Thu Dat, head of the Pushkin Institute in Hanoi, said the festival is an annual event held by the institute, aiming to create a playground for students nationwide to learn about the Russian culture and to promote the Vietnamese culture among Russians living, studying and working in Vietnam. This year's festival is the 7th edition, gathering over 1,000 students at 18 educational institutions from the north, central, and southern regions.

According to the organiser, this was the first time the event had been funded by the Russian World Foundation. The festival featured video clip making, cooking, and art contests, a knowledge quiz, musical performances, and a Russian doll making event.

More than 100 teachers and students from the Hoang Van Thu high school for the gifted in Hoa Binh City joined the festival. Phan Mai Anh, head of the Russian language faculty at the school, said the event left the deepest impression on her among the seven editions so far.

Age-appropriate activities have inspired students to participate in activities to experience and learn about Vietnamese and Russian culture, thereby creating cohesion and forging enthusiasm for the young generation to continue to cultivate sustainable relations between the countries over the years./.
