(HBO) – The 10th plenum of the 17-tenure Party Committee of Hoa Binh province for 2020-2025 wrapped up on November 30 after group discussions and a plenary meeting the same day.



 Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Duc Hinh, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh co-chair the session.

Hoa Binh’s per capita GRDP is estimated at 66.7 million VND (2,734 USD) this year, and its total budget collection is expected to stand at 6.41 trillion VND, the session heard. Progress has been made in agriculture and rural areas, as reflected through the penetration of local farm produce into the European market and the rate of communes recognised as new rural areas (55%).

The province has also worked to promote its tourism, with the number of visitors to the locality up 98.5% year-on-year. Other spheres like culture, education, communications, scientific-technological application, and natural resources management have seen noted outcomes.

Participants agreed on major socio-economic tasks and solutions set for 2023, and shared the view that the province should step up administrative reform, promote the responsibility of public servants to better the local investment environment and raise the province’s competitiveness, pool resources for infrastructure, and speed up the implementation of key projects.

In his closing remarks, Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long stressed that the plenum completed its set agenda after one day of working.

Regarding major tasks in the time ahead, he asked departments, agencies and localities to step up the communication work, implement documents adopted by the Party Central Committee and the province, materialise the programme on digital transformation in Hoa Binh province in 2021-2025 with a vision towards 2030, mobilise resources for infrastructure in industrial parks and clusters, and step up trade and investment promotion, especially domestic tourism.

He also called for efforts to roll out concerted measures in order to improve the quality of education and training, ensure social welfare and accelerate poverty reduction./.
