(HBO) - On the occasion of the upcoming traditional New Year of the Mong ethnic group, which is often celebrated one month earlier than the lunar New Year, a working delegation of the Hoa Binh provincial Department of Public Security led by Colonel Do Thanh Binh, Director of the department, visited Hang Kia and Pa Co communes, Mai Chau district.

In 2022, the security situation in the two communes has been basically stable, and people's lives continue to improve. The public security force has promoted its role and launched a movement encouraging all people to protect national security.

In particular, with their reputation and responsibility, hamlet elders and prestigious people have actively encouraged their descendants, relatives and locals to well implement the Party’s guidelines, and the State’s policies and laws, and preserve and promote their racial identity. They have also intensified dissemination of the prevention and combat of drug-related crimes, contributing to a change in awareness on drug-related violations among the Mong people.

On this occasion, the delegation gave gifts to the Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees of the two communes; and nine prestigious people with outstanding contributions to the "All people protect national security” movement.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Martyr Sung A Chu in Pa Co commune, and police officers and soldiers in Hang Kia and Pa Co.

Colonel Binh expressed his wish that the Mong ethnic group will welcome the traditional New Year with prosperity and happiness, and actively participate in the "All people protect national security” movement, and denounce criminals./.
