(HBO) – The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh on January 11 held a conference to wrap up the emulation in 2022 and launch the patriotism emulation movement for 2023. The event drew incumbent and former leaders of Hoa Binh, including Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Council; and Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Committee.

In 2022, the province’s emulation movement is themed "Party, administration, armed forces, business community and ethnic communities of Hoa Binh promote solidarity, discipline, responsibility and adaptation, speeding up recovery and development, and successfully completing all tasks and targets for 2022".

In the year, the province completed 18 out of the 19 targets set for the year, with economic growth reaching 9.03% and per capita income of 66.7 million VND (2,846 USD). The rate of communes recognised as new-year rural areas of the province reached 55%, with 59.54% of the total schools meeting national standards. The province’s social welfare, political security, social safety and order were also ensured.

Addressing the event, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, hailed the outcomes of the movement in 2022, affirming that it has become an important motivation for the province to complete its political tasks.

He suggested that in the time to come, sectors, agencies and localities of the province will continue to popularise and implement policies and law of the Party and State regarding emulation and rewarding activities, giving timely compliments to outstanding collectives and individuals in all fields.

The leader called on all local official, public servants, labourers, soldiers, businesses and residents from all ethnic groups to promote patriotism and solidarity, overcoming difficulties and contributing to the success implementation of all tasks set in the 17th provincial Party Congress’ resolution.

At the event, Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Committee, launched the emulation movement for 2023, which themed "solidarity, discipline, mindset change, drastic, timely and effective actions for completion of all socio-economic tasks and targets for 2023".

During the conference, two collectives were honoured with third-class Independence Order and third-class Labour Order, and one individuals received third-class Labour Order. Many other collectives and individuals were also honoured./.
