(HBO) – A delegation led by Secretary of Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long on January 12 visited and presented gifts to social policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and families of former provincial officials in Hoa Binh city on the threshold of the Lunar New Year (Tet).

In Doc Lap commune, Long and the delegation presented 10 gifts
to social policy beneficiary families and 90 gifts to disadvantaged households.
The provincial Party leader acknowledged the efforts that the
commune’s Party Committee, authorities, and people made in socio-economic
development and social security which step by step helped improve people's
living conditions.
Long said that although the life of people in Doc Lap commune
has been improved, the commune’s poverty rate is still high compared to the
general level.
Therefore, in the coming time, the Party Committee and city
government need to increase the effectiveness of leadership, improve the social
infrastructure system, and attract investment to improve people's living
standards in difficult areas like Doc Lap commune.
At the Thinh Lang Ward People's Committee, the official gave 160
gifts to 50 policy beneficiary families and 110 disadvantaged families.
He said that the gifts are meant to show the gratitude of the
Party Committee, authorities, and people of ethnic groups in the province to
those who contributed to the construction of the Hoa Binh hydropower plant in
particular, and the development of Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province in general.

The official also visited and extended Tet
wishes to Hoang Viet Cuong, former Secretary of the provincial Party
