(HBO) – A National Assembly (NA) delegation led by Nguyen Duc Hai, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the NA, visited and presented Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts in Hoa Binh province.


Nguyen Duc Hai, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the NA; and Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, present gifts to poor households in Hien Luong commune, Da Bac district.

Visiting the martyrs’ cemetery of Da Bac district, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the monument and graves of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Fatherland’s independence and freedom.

In Hien Luong commune, they visited and presented Tet gifts to the family of Trieu Van Minh, a reputable person in Doi hamlet, and war invalids Xa Hong Thang in Mai hamlet. They also presented 50 gift packages to poor households, 20 to disadvantaged students, 200 million VND (over 8,500 USD) to the district’s association for education promotion, 50 million VND to the local Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and other gifts to the forces on duty during Tet.

At the Hoa Binh Hydropower Company, the NA delegation offered Tet greetings and presented 55 gift packages to disadvantaged workers of the firm and other businesses based at the Da River Left Bank Industrial Park.

Speaking at the destinations the delegation visited, NA Vice Chairman Hai applauded efforts by the Party Committee, administration, and people of Hien Luong commune in surmounting difficulties, developing social and economic aspects, and performing defence - security safeguarding.

He asked all-level Party committees and administrations to reform leadership methods, focus on socio-economic development, and effectively carry out the tasks set in the resolutions of all-level Party congresses.

Highly valuing contributions by generations of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Company’s staff members and workers of local businesses, he expressed his hope that the enterprises, employers, and employees will continue actively helping with the local common development.

As part of their working trip, the NA delegation had a working session with provincial leaders.

Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, reported on results of task implementation in 2022 and on some focal duties for 2023. Despite difficulties, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and with strong solidarity, unanimity, and political resolve, Hoa Binh obtained many important results, creating a prerequisite for performing tasks in 2023. Authorities have also worked to ensure a safe and merry Tet for all people.

NA Vice Chairman Hai recognised local attainments in boosting socio-economic development, caring for poor and disadvantaged households, and improving residents’ material and spiritual lives. He also wished the Hoa Binh Party organisation, administration, and people success in implementing socio-economic development tasks and building a province with increasing development./.
